Summer Solstice

The Summer Solstice is on 21st June. It marks the astronomical first day of Summer and the longest day of the year.

The summer solstice is a great day to get together with friends and family to celebrate, or create your own ceremony or ritual of gratitude for the Sun and it's gift of light- the source of all life.

Ways to celebrate the summer Solstice:

Connect with nature. Try some Forest Bathing or take a walk in your local park or garden and appreciate the beauty of Mother Earth.

Bathe in the sun. Find a comfortable secluded spot where you can sit, relax and soak up the warmth, light and energy of the sun. Remember to protect your skin by not staying in the strong sun for too long.

Watch the sun rise and set. A beautiful time to get outside where you can watch and appreciate the sun, set some intentions or even do some energising sun salutations.

Decorate your alter. Collect summer flowers and fragrant herbs - a gift from the sun itself. Use crystals such as citrine and carnelian which will soak up the sun's energy to recharge. Use candles to add light, even better, use an aromatherapy candle made with beautiful essential oils.
